Greetings from Yorkshire England

To members of the Texas Mariners Cruising Association, greetings and best wishes, especially to Dorothy and Ed Hearon, Ed and Marion Herndon, Carol and Roy DeFee, Bill & Tricia Bagley, etc, etc.from Michael and Georgina Hull (Connoisseur boat # 214).

The TMCA pennant now hangs above our bar at home.  It is a permanent reminder both of our happy acquaintance on the river Yonne, as well as of the terrible events on the 11th September.  We hope that the rest of your holiday went well in Normandy and elsewhere and that you had a safe return flight to Texas.

We drove to Switzerland after leaving you all at Laroche Migennes and spent a further week in the Upper Engadin valley, about 12 miles from St Moritz.  The weather had turned cold and  we were greeted by early snow showers on the mountain passes. We stayed in a 500 year old house in a small village (see attachment) belonging to a member of the family from which Georgina is descended.  The Swiss National Park, where the snow line was down to 7,000 feet, provided peaceful walks amid magnificent scenery as there were few tourists and hunters about in the forests and mountains that late in the summer season.

We arrived back home at the end of September and are already planning to return to the French canals next summer.

God bless you all.

Michael and Georgina
