By now we were down to our last two days in Paris. We decided to do the Musee d'Orsay and the Louvre on the last two days.
The Musee d'Orsay has the art of painters and
sculptors done from 1848 to 1914. The Louvre has everything before 1848.
They are not sure if there was any art after 1914, so you have to look
for it in the hundreds of contemporary art museums around the city.

We rented the hand held audio tourguide gadget
that gives a critique of many on the museum's artifacts.
Just punch in the number by the picture and listen
to the spiel. These are wonderful gadgets and well worth the few
bucks extra.

| Manet won the prize of the year for his Picnic in the Park featuring
a lovely nude lady.
The critics panned it. The People were shocked... This scene will be replicated at Double Bayou on
Don Thomson is growing a beard for the occasion. |
