Baths and Virgin Gorda July 18

With the arrival of Luke and Linda we have a full crew. Luke Brought along his Garmin GPS with a Chip for the Virgin Islands charts. What a Godsend.  The Paper chart provided with the boat was fine but it is so nice to operate with a Chart plotter. You can answer the crews Questions like "When will we get there?"  and "What's that Island over there?"

Ed is Captain for the day. We will go to the Baths and later explore Virgin Gorda Sound.

The snorkeling is lovely around the Hugh Granite Boulders of the Baths.

The Heat of the mid day sun forces us to take shelter at a local watering spot where the specialty is Banana Daiquiri's. Lorna took very good care of us.

Tallship

We tried to catch her going to Virgin Gorda

We left the mooring at the Baths under Mainsail (Look Ma, No Engine).  Later added we added full Genoa. Luke provided navigation to the Virgin Gorda entrance.

First Stop was Leverick Bay Pusser store. We approached a mooring under no engine dropped the sail and tied off. The crew was rewarded with a trip to the store and drinks at the Bar. Then we moved to an anchorage by Prickly Pear beach near the Bitter End Yacht Club.
