Ed,

Sorry I hadn't mentioned 1992 earlier.

We have a framed professional (done by Mike Scalf) picture of our winning entry.  It looks great! We will check with him or bring it to some professional place and get it reproduced and get a decent quality digital picture to you to add to your web site.

When you get the picture, note the waterline up real close to the rail with 20 people and the drunken Water Dog on board. If I had seen that, I may have never left South Shore at the start.

The lead TMCA members who worked on the boat were Jim and Claire Fleming  I recall giving the trophy to them for all their hard work.

We had an auxiliiary generator in addition to the Northern Lights 8kw and needed the capacity of both.  I think one of our members was a NASA engineer who "borrowed" a NASA computer to control the lights on the rotating balloon and the waving mouse.

I also recall that after the 2 hours of high anxiety at the helm, when we returned to our slip at Waterford Harbor, the wind came up, the wooden soldier was functioning as a non-furling jib and it took about a dozen tries to get into our slip.

See you at the Ball.

Joe
