Harbor House and Pelican Island Anchorage
Coming from Clear Lake area you will pass through
Bolivar roads.
Harbor House is 4.4 nm from Bolivar roads on the ICW Galveston
Loop.
There are three ways to the Pelican Island anchorage shown
on the Google Map.
The shortest way, 5.7 nm, is to head west on the ICW to marker 13 and
then take a left across the bay to the anchorage.
Just head for the
Pelican Island Bridge. At Low tides this could be dicy for 6 foot draft
boats.
A deep water marked passage, 9.2 nm, involves going west to "Y"
where the ICW Loop meets the ICW.
Then Head back along the ICW Loop
to marker 2.
The third way is follows the ICW Loop south to Galveston and past
Harbor House. The Pelican Island Anchorage is about 2 nm from Harbor
House.
This route is 6.4 nm and you will need to pass through the draw bridge
just before you get to the anchorage.
