Herndon Rochester '53 (updated May 12,
2007) Dear Friends, I introduce myself, Ed Herndon, former CSB, 52-57. I got lost in Space (NASA kind) after I left in 57 and had the great fortune to attend the Association of Former Basilians Reunion in the summer of 2000 43 years later. My former classmate Bud Pare' was responsible for getting me to join the group. I retired from a job at Lockheed/Martin in 1997 after working the computer performance business at NASA Johnson Space Center from 1966. I
met Marion, my
current spouse on the tennis court in 1990. We dicovered a lot of
common interests among them Sailing and Socializing. We also
contracted a common boating disease, the three year - three foot
syndrome. Every three years we bought a boat three feet longer
than the last boat. At the peak we had a 48 foot Motor Yacht that
took us to the Year 2000 Reunion. We are now in remission
with a 45 foot sailboat. On our 2004 trip to Toronto Since retirement I have kept busy Cruising and as an officer in the Texas Mariners Cruising Association. All of that fun stuff is documented on our Web Page www.remedyandcrew.com . Drop in and visit. We returned to Canada in 2002, and 2004 for the AOFB Reunion. We Missed the 2006 reunion but are planning to make up with the 2007 Texas reunion. One of my new projects is a blog Life is a Queue its a collection of Things I want to remember before CRS sets in. I keep My Opinions in a separate blog. |
